Tamiya Gloss Acrylic is a special weapon reserved for colors like yellow and white, and any bright glossy color that needs to have a perfect finish. WARNING: You need to be able to brush on the paint WITHOUT disturbing prior coats. That means brushing over previous coats once and once only. Four coats is normal. Summary
This is a “special weapon” for experts. It does what it does very well, but for everyday painting it would be very awkward and nearly impossible for a beginner. The arrival of Warpaint from The Army Painter provides another way to do colors like white and yellow– so maybe Tamiya’s Grand Olde Painte will fade into the sunset…
Of course, we’re talking about painting with a brush, and if you do THAT you’re always operating on the fringe– and this paint is FRINGE-Y. Very fringe-y.
