Paint Review: Xtracrylix

A surprising “dark horse” paint from the U.K. has all the right qualities–and it’s glossy…??

Summary

Gloss paints are problematic for brushing. I can’t imagine using this stuff all the time as my “primary” paint but it could be done. I actually believe that this paint could be used by an expert brushpainter and it would remove the need for a “gloss coat” prior to decaling.

But I emphasize the word “COULD.” It’s possible that somebody could do it. Not probable.

  1. Just saw your change there. Pity, as it is not available here, and Hannants charges like a wild bull for postage, but good to know.
