Petition to Make “America the Beautiful” the U.S. National Anthem

Here’s a link to a petition to make “America the Beautiful” the U.S. National Anthem. It is a little known fact that the word “anathema” means “worse than The Star Spangled Banner.” The Star Spangled Banner is just a crappy song and we have a better one. A much better one.

I never promised to avoid politics on this blog. All I can promise is that this is a blog and the politics will be disgustingly one-sided. But before I destroy my Google rank with political nonsense, I just hope we can all come together to condemn the one thing that all true Americans despise–The Freakin’ Star Spangled Banana in all its forms.

Search your feelings. You KNOW it to be true. Sign the petition (c’mon you foreigners–you know you want this too–how many times are you going to let this drunken sailor song ruin your Olympics? huh?). We need more America the Beautiful and much less Star Blah Blah.

Let’s do this.

    1. I knew there was something about you I liked. In a perfect world, “The Ballad of Tom Joad” would be the national anthem…
