A Nice Day
This will be a short note to keep my rabid fans from tearing me apart in frustration.
An “impression” of the famous “DASH 8” locomotive from our friends at General Electric.

This is one of two locos purchased for about twelve bucks each (plus shipping) on eBay.

This was painted– er, I mean decorated– using Microscale decals, Tamiya paints and a good old hairy brush with no spray painting or masking.
I fabricated the front handrail and I’ll be working on handrails for a while because all the fore and aft rails were missing from the package.
Well, that’s what happens when you go for the bargain bin.

It looks good enough for government work. It’s not “super authentic.” It’s an impression. I’m an impressionist now. I interpret reality.
I always have appreciated the impressionists, looks more like my world.
