Mold Making and Resin Casting (Book Review)

While I’m trying to find time to get back to the Hellcat, I’ll just add a review of a book that I like.  The title is Mold Making and Resin Casting for the Hobbyist by Mark Buchler.

Mark does a good job of explaining how to do simple resin casting. It’s better than propping up your laptop by the workbench and trying to make that work (well, it works better for me). I feel a little weird reviewing a paper book. In this day and age, it seems almost pre-historic to refer to something that doesn’t just pop up on demand when clicked. In fact, I’m supposed to put in a link to “where to buy” or I’m an old-fashioned dinosaur. Well, I am an old-fashioned dinosaur.

I like Buchler’s book because it breaks everything down into simple steps and provides step-by-step illustrations.

This is a do-it-youself book from Lulu self publishing, but it’s an above average version.

That concludes the review. It’s not as good as one at Amazon, but this book isn’t at Amazon. Actually, OK here’s the link: Click here to shop for this book. I’m not selling this book. I’m providing a link– but somehow it feels like selling.

Now comes the interesting part. Apparently, Mark got his book reviewed by ARC, and they mention Modelnerd’s Model Shack, but that doesn’t seem to exist now. Modelnerd seems to have vanished into the haze. Interesting.

This is what comes from all that linking! Aloha!
