Photo Update: Hurricane Part 13

I applied two coats of the 2 to 1 mix of Future and Flat Base.

Attaching and painting the canopy was a real pain. I’m still trying to find a reliable adhesive for clear parts. This was done using the Testors clear part cement.

But I had to take extra precautions. I actually installed, removed, cleaned up and reinstalled the canopy parts TWICE before I got it right. The key here is to apply very small amounts with a toothpick to the very edge of the canopy.

It was not easy. In fact, it was very frustrating. Almost as frustrating as painting the frames “free hand” using a 10-0 brush. But in the end…success.

Looks very clean, doesn’t it? Well, now is the time for THE WEATHERING!
